Poche semplici istruzioni per eliminare il proprio account su Facebook
With How to Leave Facebook thousands of posters explaining how to delete your own Facebook profile are distributed in the urban space.
This action by Jeremy Deller, which came to life in consequence of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and the involvement of Facebook in the presidential elections won by Donald Trump, spans over three days and different places of the city in order to rise awareness on the issue of privacy and the sale of personal information to support a “surveillance capitalism” based on the collection of personal and behavioural data and their commodification.
Public engagement and free distribution are two elements which are not new to the artist, who became famous thanks to his capacity to organize large-scale collaborative projects.
