The photographer presents her conversations with leading Italian colleagues, talking about their vision, their style, exchanging ideas, opinions and gazes on the world.
Doppio sguardo. Conversazioni tra fotografi brings together nine dialogues, exploring the diverse styles and personalities of Italian photography. Starting out from Olivo Barbieri’s research into landscape, we arrive the famous beach series by Massimo Vitali. Along the way we come across the photography of Luca Campigotto, the fruit of travels throughout the world; the series by Mario Cresci, whose work has been influenced by diverse disciplines, including cultural anthropology, and then there are the investigations of contemporary society by Paola Di Bello, the apparently documentary images of Stefano Graziani, the territorial exploration of Guido Guidi, the new forms of expression of Francesco Jodice, which take in video art, and finally the visionary experimentation of Nino Migliori.
This book brings together a number of the most representative conversations held over the years and testifies, with a fresh and direct style, to how Italian photography is made up of a plurality of voices and many diverse and enthralling persoanlities.
