Universo Olivetti.
Valentina Vannicola

The starting point for Valentina Vannicola’s project is the sudden death of Adriano Olivetti on February 27, 1960, when the traditional “battle of the oranges” was suspended for the first time with the exception of wartime. The artist symbolically retrieves the oranges that were not used on that occasion and pours them into some of the spaces most representative of the Olivettian city: the factory, the social services, the workshops, and the Canavese region. Empty or inhabited by figures frozen in time, these places become “vessels of a revolution” that remains ongoing albeit silent.
