MAXXI’s Collection of Art and Architecture represents the founding element of the museum and defines its identity. Since October 2015, it has been on display with different arrangements of works.

Guided visit
An exploration and analysis of the MAXXI architecture, the competition project and the construction site of one of the most complex and remarkable buildings realised in Italy in recent years. The exploration takes the form of a video presentation and a guided tour of the building and its hidden spaces.
In full compliance with the health and hygiene safety rules laid down in Decree of the Italian Prime Minister of 17 May 2020 and Order of the President of the Lazio Region no. Z00043 of 27 May 2020, which refer to the indications of the Italian Scientific and Technical Committee for the reopening of museums and other cultural institutions and venues, notified by MiBACT – Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity on 14 May 2020, the itineraries through art and architecture exhibitions aimed at discovering the themes and languages of contemporary creativity are being resumed.
