Research
Conceived as an active, dynamic structure, MAXXI Research is a workshop offering the public avant-garde facilities and equipment for the analysis, study and comprehension of contemporary artistic phenomena.
The objective of MAXXI Research is to collate, conserve, produce and distribute knowledge and the culture of contemporary art and architecture through publications, educational projects and initiatives designed to enhance the museum’s activities.
Moreover, it documents all the museum’s activities, from the exhibitions to the events and the scholarly activities directly associated with the study of the permanent collections.
The MAXXISearch web channel is the means of access to the computerised system created to handle MAXXI B.A.S.E.’s documentary and artistic contents and permit the consultation of the entire system of catalogues and digital materials available to date.
