Promoted by AMACI, the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, the Day of the Contemporary is now in its 11th edition.
The museum will be open free of charge for the entire day.
What’s happening on the day…
MAXXI COLLECTION. FREE AND PERMANENT
From Saturday 10 October, MAXXI will be opening on a permanent basis its own collection which will be free to visit for everyone from Tuesday to Friday. In Gallery 4, on the museum’s first floor, the works from the collection will be exhibited on rotation, starting with this first display of over 30 works of art and 21 architectural projects.

LA CASA DI ROMA by PEDRO CABRITA REIS
The MAXXI piazza will be housing the work by the Portuguese artist, a structure adopting the constructional principles of a primordial architecture.
