The School of Narrative Dance, Rome is a project by the artist Marinella Senatore, a finalist in the PREMIO MAXXI 2014. A school offering inroads to various professions through an alternative teaching system based on the sharing of skills and trades.

The School of Narrative Dance, Romeis the project by Marinella Senatore, a finalist in this edition of the PREMIO MAXXI 2014
Over 300 people will be invading the museum spaces to render even more evident the message of inclusion, participation and the capacity of art to form a community that underlies the artist’s work.
The protagonists in this performative action are not only the people participating in the daily lectures in the piazza, but also many territorial figures.

A lecture-performance by the choreographers of the Berlin collective ESPZ (Elisa Zucchetti and Nandhan Molinaro) to present the construction of the choreography staged by the participants in the major project by the artist Marinella Senatore.

A talk in which Marinella Senatore together with the English collective Assemble, responsible for the design of the piazza’s arena, and the choreographers from ESPZ, summarize and present their experience of the project together with Anna Mattirolo Director of MAXXI Arte, Hou Hanru MAXXI’s Artistic Director, Giulia Ferracci the curator of the PREMIO MAXXI 2014 exhibition, architects and artists from the city and the students of The School of Narrative Dance, Rome.
