MAXXI for familiesSonic Mappings

Free workshop on Bill Fontana’s sonic installation for families for children of between 5 and 10 years of age
On the occasion of the publication of “Bill Fontana”, the first book for children in the series Piccoli MAXXI.

A workshop for all the family to have fun together and learn through art

Sonic Mappings is an installation by Bill Fontana, a site specific a sound sculpture, inspired by the ancient Roman aqueducts born out of the relationship between MAXXI and the city of Rome.
Close your eyes, listen carefully, can you hear? It runs, gushes, flows and gurgles: water is used by Bill Fontana as a true instrument capable of creating sonic sculptures. Drawing inspiration from the work of this artist, children and their parents will create their own sound sculptures together.

Free activity on purchase of a reduced price museum entrance ticket for an accompanying adult. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 3386419518 from Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM or by writing to edumaxxi@fondazionemaxxi.it – by 1:00 PM on the previous Friday.
