Being realistic does not mean maintaining that the world exists but, rather, saying how it is. On the occasion of Paola Pivi. World Record‘s exhibit.

The variety of scale of the works of Paola Pivi, miniaturized works, large installations or even minimal interventions, is the expedient chosen by the artist to ironically and provocatively represent everyday objects that man is accustomed to confronting daily.
The result is a reality in which the object represented, even if recognizable, loses its function of use to offer potential personal readings and suggest meanings related to current events.

It is from this introduction that the Lectio Magistralis of the philosopher Maurizio Ferraris stems. The philosopher states that being realistic does not mean maintaining that the world exists but, rather, saying how it is, first and foremost the social world, by seizing the scope of the social and technological revolution in progress.
