For years, Abdullah Miniawy’s evocative words, intense singing, and powerful storytelling have merged with Karsten Hochapfel’s cello in a deep and vibrant musical dialogue.
In this performance, excerpts from Nigma Enigma, Miniawy’s latest solo album, alternate with extended excerpts from Le Cri Du Caire, creating a hypnotic experience in which acoustic orchestrations, electronic sounds, and field recordings mingle in an enveloping soundscape.
With the support of SHAPE+, Creative Europe and Pro Helvetia. Axes is a MAXXI project curated by Threes Productions with the participation of Miniera.
