Mystery Sonata, created on the basis of H. I. Biber’s 17th Century compositions portraying the Mystery of the Rosary, was born as a ‘modular’ show that could be configured and assembled according to the spaces in which it is performed.
In this case it was expressly conceived for the MAXXI museum spaces and perfected by the choreographer Raphael Bianco together with the artistic duo Alis/Filliol, the musician Ivan Bert and the light designer Enzo Galia.
A performance that has neither a true beginning nor an end and the underlying themes of which are the simultaneous presence of diverse realities and spatial dimensions (along with their reciprocal influences), spiritual heritage and its direct or indirect echo.
