Architects and works in the collection, the fruit of competitions, commissions and other cultural projects produced between 2001 and 2015, brought together in a single volume.
Five years on from the opening of MAXXI and almost 15 years from the launch of its collections by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, MAXXI Architettura is now presenting the nature and the sense of what has been done during this period.
The result is this catalogue, an accessible reference tool for academics and researchers but also a comprehensive and significant summary of contemporary architectural practice.
The heterogeneous nature of the archive documents, the works and the projects collected over the years faithfully mirrors a multi-faceted approach to conservation, exposition, research, communication, production and documentation with a single goal: creating the first Italian museum of architecture.
