The MVRDV studio, founded in 1993 in Rotterdam by Winy Maas, Jacob Van Rijs and Athalie De Vries, soon achieved the status of a major international player thanks to a working philosophy based on an original approach to environmental questions and the involvement of young people working in the studio in the crucial design phases. Starting out from the highly innovative methods of research into formal matrices and into the relationships between building and city and between architecture and society, the studio has gone beyond the confines of the Netherlands and Europe and realised extremely successful projects throughout the world.
* * 1 university credit is offered to students of the Roma Tre and La Sapienza Faculties of Architecture
The seminar is part of the cycle #LightOn curated by iGuzzini and MAXXI
