This talk represents an opportunity to explore Marinella Senatore’s project The School of Narrative Dance, Roma, thanks to the book of the same title: a complete record of all the phases associated with the school, from the lessons through to the performance within the ambit of the seventh edition of the Premio MAXXI in 2014.
Essays, drawings and plans of the project for the school designed by the architectural collective ASSEMBLE group, previously unpublished photos and appendixes that permit a reconstruction of the history of The School of Narrative Dance, Roma; an excursus that shows how the artist has succeeded in becoming a fundamental voice within the international debate, contributing to a delineation of new forms of intervention based on the processes of formation of the collective memory and using radical pedagogical methods.
