Luigi Moretti. Twentieth Century Architect

Thursday 26 April, 18.00
MAXXI B.A.S.E. Meeting Room

Despite being one of the greatest architects to work in Rome from the Fascist period through to the post-war years and establishing himself on the Milanese and international scene, Luigi Moretti long occupied an independent and isolated position, above all in academic terms, in part due to his support for the political ideals of his youth.
The book Luigi Moretti. Twentieth Century Architect reveals Moretti as a profoundly Roman architect, whose work reflects the historical influence of Gustavo Giovannoni and Vincenzo Fasolo, his design’s intense and open relationship with abstraction and the most innovative artistic processes of his era and his personal approach to the city.

Introduced by Francesco Paolo Fiore
with Lucio Barbera, Giorgio Ciucci, Giorgio Muratore, Pier Ostilio Rossi

The book has been edited by Corrado Bozzoni, Daniela Fonti and Alessandra Muntoni.
