The true story of Aisholpan, a thirteen-year-old Mongol with a dream of becoming the first female eagle hunter who competes in the annual Golden Eagle Festival. This young Muslim nomad wants to prove that “a girl can do everything a boy can, as long as she is determined.” The story is set in the Altai mountains in the north of Mongolia, the most remote part of the country, an area in which women have always been considered to fragile to hunt with eagles. Presented at the Rome Film Festival in 2016 and a BAFTA candidate for Best Documentary.
