A judge, a pilot, a chef and a producer meet outside Paris to kill themselves by eating. Their gaze is marked by a crazed torpor and melancholy “with the stomach stuffed and the genitals emptied” (Moravia). A “tragedy of the flesh” (Buñuel). Today it instead shines with the charity of a group of late millennium bohemians each practicing a loving suicide via the gullet.
This tribute to Marcello Mastroianni has been organized in collaboration with Piccolo Cinema America and Roma Creative Contest.
