Cast: Liron Levo, Tomer Russo, Uri Ran Klauzner, Yoram Attab
During the Yom Kippur war, 1973, an Israeli helicopter with a crew of seven aboard is flying over Syria to retrieve a downed pilot. The helicopter is hit by a missile and crashes in the Golan desert. Amos Gitai, who was a member of the actual rescue mission, filmed everything in Super-8. This is a film that “immerses you in the violence and agony but which also leaves you with a curious sense of detachment” (New York Times).
