On the occasion of the Home Beirut. Sounding the Neighbors exhibition, we will meet Khalil Joreige to discover the most significant phases of his work, also by use of videos and images.

The Lebanese artistic duo started cooperating in the early ‘90s in order to satisfy their need to document the aftermath of the civil war by reflecting upon the making of history and the building of collective imagination. Those years saw them develop an original, politically active artistic practice based on research aimed at rediscovering concealed stories and archive documents, both personal and poetic, which then find expression in photographic projects, lectures, performances, installations, and artist’s books, the narrative of which is suspended between reality and fiction.
