Open to the public the conservation works of Anselm Kiefer’s Sternenfall on the occasion of the FUORI TUTTO exhibition.
The open restoration of Anselm Kiefer’s work Sternenfall (1998) – focus of a research and conservation project arising from the collaboration between MAXXI and the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro (ICR) – is visible from 4 July to 26 September.
The lecturers and students of the Scuola di Alta Formazione of the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro are working to recover the structural problems of the two large canvases by Kiefer and the concrete of which Biscotti’s work is composed. Both open sites are an opportunity to see behind the scenes of a job in constant evolution and updating, that of contemporary restoration and conservation.
