A focus on the artist who has always combined social commitment and poetic language.

A focus on the artist Gea Casolaro, whose work has always combined social commitment and poetic language, finding a narrative balance between the story of places, with the lives of the people who pass through them, and an emotional story that wants to make the human story of each context universal.

Her works include Volver atrás para ir adelante (Going back to move forward), which depicts the  relationship between the massacre perpetrated by the Argentine military dictatorship in the 1970s and 1980s and the economic crisis of the early 2000s, and more recent works like Thousand and One of these Nights, on the abandonment of the city of L’Aquila after the earthquakeor Before the night lasts forever that deals with the oil pollution problem in Basilicata.

Wednesday 9 October the artist meets the audience to talk about her work.
