A conversation on the thoughts and reflections shared between the two, a long-standing friendship that led them to found the magazine Il Setaccio in Bologna in 1942.

History and the individual intertwine in Fabio Mauri’s poetics. War, fascism, conversion, the insidious logic of ideology and totalitarianism are the main themes of the Italian avant-garde master’s research.

In his work, Mauri speaks of habituation, levelling of the perception of reality on an increasingly fallacious language, until the imperceptible, irreversible emptying of the value of autonomous experience.
