Three seminars with readings and reflections on the craft of writing
One of the most prestigious and sought-after Italian literary prizes that for almost 70 years has inflamed cultural passions and debates, for some writers the Premio Strega has represented the consecration of a long career while for others it has acted as a powerful trampoline. Accompanied by Stefano Petrocchi, director of the Fondazione Bellonci, the prize-winning authors – Paolo Cognetti, Fabio Genovesi and Walter Siti – reflect on the craft of writing in the light of the watershed that winning the prize has represented for them.
The guest for the second seminar will be Fabio Genovesi, winner of the Premio Strega Giovani 2015 with the novel Chi manda le onde, on the occasion of the recent publication of his latest novel, Il mare dove non si tocca(both published by Mondadori).
Fabio Genovesi was born in Forte dei Marmi in 1974. As well as the two mentioned above he has published the novels Esche vive (2011), Versilia Rock City (2012) with Mondadori as well as Tutti primi sul traguardo del mio cuore (2013), a diary on the road recounting his Giro d’Italia adventure. He is also the author of the cult essay Morte dei Marmi (Laterza 2012).
