MAXXI Auditorium – admittance free while places available*

The principles of African design and architecture as planning guidelines

The latest event in the #LightOn series, curated by iGuzzini and MAXXI, is with the architect David Adjaye in conversation with Pippo Ciorra.

Director of Adjaye Associates, the firm he founded in 2000, David Adjaye devoted the early years of his studies to travelling through Africa before settling in the United Kingodm where he completed his architectural training. Many of his ideas are inspired by the principles of African design and architecture which act as guidelines for the design and aesthetics in his work in which three-dimensionality predominates two-dimensional expression.
