The Norwegian saxophonist presents his site-specific project in dialogue with the Museum’s architecture, challenging the boundaries between acoustic sound and bodily performance.
Bendik Giske uses music to investigate the body and vulnerability. He creates hypnotic effects through circular breathing by integrating minimalist and electronic influences. His artistic expression is deeply influenced by the dance traditions of Bali and his queer identity.
Axes is a MAXXI project curated by Threes Productions with Miniera’s participation. The programme presents three appointments and sound experiments investigating the borderlines between music and architecture.
