A large continent read through the words of its authors

A cycle of events at which to meet authors that, despite their different origins and destinations, biographies and talents, share the extraordinary ability to use their books to describe Africa and its complex diaspora’s infinite nuances.

In a new event in the cycle, we meet Nigerian author A. Igoni Barrett, a member of the Chinua Achebe Center and the Norman Mailer Center, amongst others. With his collection of short stories,Love Is Power, Or Something Like That and his first novel, Blackass, he has made a place for himself on the contemporary Nigerian literary scene alongside Teju Cole, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Helon Habila.
