ANSWER THE OPEN CALL ENJOY A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!
You could be one of the five students who from 11 to 15 March will realise together with the team from the Japanese studio Sou Fujimoto Architects the great Energy Forest model designed for the exhibition ENERGY. Architettura e reti del petrolio e del post-petrolio, at MAXXI from 22 March 2013. The model will then become part of the MAXXI Architettura collections.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To apply you must:
– Be enrolled in at least the third year of a degree course in Faculty of Architecture
– Have frequented at least one course or specialist workshop in the construction of architectural models
– Speak fluent English (as demonstrated by extra-university certification);
Furthermore, great precision and manual skill are required along with a willingness to work at MAXXI from 11 to 15 March from 8.30 to 18.00.
The first five students to apply by completing the form found on this page and who meet all the requirements will have the opportunity to join the working team.
The students selected will be required to present the Foundation with a copy of the documentation demonstrating that they meet the prerequisites.
The work will involve the completion of the model designed by Sou Fujimoto, from the gluing of small pieces to the assembly of large parts.
YOUR EXPERIENCE LIVE
The team’s experience will be followed daily on MAXXI’s online channels and those of eni, main partner of the Energy exhibition, and of Autogrill, through photos and video recordings.
You may share with the museum community day by day emotions, enthusiasms, difficulties and reflections.
At the end of the five days, MAXXI will issue a certificate of participation in the workshop. The students will be allowed to come to an agreement with their faculty with regard to the recognition of free credits.
