Part of the MAXXI Archives Centre for Contemporary Architecture and Design series, this volume documents the donation of the BBPR studio’s fund of architects Gian Luigi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti and Ernesto Nathan Rogers. Essays, sketches, documents, and historical photographs portray the studio’s rich professional activity, ranging from urban planning to architecture and art to design. A large part of the volume is devoted to the inventory of the archive that has become part of MAXXI’s Collection, a corpus that covers more than seventy years of work and brings together documents of a heterogeneous nature that testify to the design, teaching and cultural activities of BBPR and the individual architects who were part of it.
