The volume, edited by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, brings together contributions from archaeologists, art historians, sociologists, philosophers and technology experts, called upon to speak on the theme of spirituality, starting from reflection on the self and self identity. A journey through history, religion, art and culture in general, bringing together different contributions, from interviews and essays to fact sheets on the works on display. Of particular interest are the rich illustrations dedicated to the views of the exhibition, author photographs that portray the exhibition in all its complexity and show a happy contamination between archaeology and art. As the curator of the catalogue states, “where the symbolic and spiritual meanings of the artefacts and the works of art meet, a nexus is established that informs both, beyond time and space. A nexus capable of rediscovering and indicating new and ancient values”.
