Summer music shows at MAXXI

MAXXIMALISM, every Thursday until 15 July, a series of musical performances staged in Italy for the first time by some of the most interesting and innovative musicians who in recent years have succeeded in combining idioms and influences of diverse origins in a spontaneous and direct manner.
The next event, scheduled for the 1st of July, will feature Omar Souleyman with his traditional desert music combined with electronic instruments.

NETinSPACE Highlights/ Katja Loher

Thursday 1 July 2010, 19.30

For three Thursdays, from the 1st to the 15th of July at 19.30, the curator of NETinSPACE Elena Giulia Rossi, will accompany the MAXXI public as they explore the confines between real and virtual and their reciprocal contaminations in the art that is born and develops on the Internet: the so-called Net Art.
For the first event, the curator will focus on the universes of Katja Loher, starting out from her project Sculpting in Air / Video Planets.

adults: €11
concessions: €7, for groups of 10-25 people, concessionary groups.
free: under 14 years of age, disabled visitors requiring a companion, companions of disabled visitors, employees of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Lazio Region Tourist Guides, 1 supervisor for every group booking, 1 supervisor for every 10 students, ICOM members, AMACI members, adults over 65 (Tuesdays).
