The creations of the best-known contemporary watchmakers in a single event
A special exposition displaying exceptional pieces of watchmaking by 13 important independent watchmakers from all over the world: Hajime Asaoka, Christophe Claret, Ludovic Ballouard, De Bethune, George Daniels, Philippe Dufour, Laurent Ferrier, Romain Gauthier, Vianney Halter, Christian Klings, Jean Daniel Nicolas, Roger W. Smith and Kari Voutilainen.
Conceived as a travelling exhibition, Watchmakers will debut in Rome and then stay in New York from 26th to 30th April, at the Phillips NY Gallery in 450 Park Avenue. Afterwards, it will be hosted by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel of Hong Kong from 24th to 28th May – and it will finally reach the Phillips headquarters in Berkeley Square, London, where it will stay from 19th to 26th June.
The exhibition is produced by Maxima, an art gallery specialised in modern and contemporary art, in collaboration with Phillips, a leading auction house in the field of high-quality watches and clocks – in association with Bacs and Russo.
